Strange Bedfellows
I often like to begin a painting by adding colors to watercolor paper by brushing, spraying, sprinkling with no plan in mind. Sometimes I press dried leaves into it. Sometimes, as in this one, I sprinkle crystalized paint on it. Then I cover it with a board and come back the next day to see what surprise I have to work with. I love the unexpected results I can pull out by using more watercolor, watercolor pencils, gouache, and sometimes inks
