I love the challenge of splashing and splattering, dripping and running watercolors on paper which is then dried before I begin my actual painting. The puzzle is to find a beginning shape to enhance with watercolor pencils, gouache, inks, and more watercolors. Then find another shape, and another shape until the painting decides which direction it wants to go. This painting was not happy until I added the periwinkle blue gouache at the end.
