Double Beauty Study

This is a plein air study done in Yosemite National Park near Glacier Point. I hiked quite a bit this day and found the best view where you could see both Nevada and Vernal Falls. I sat up my easel along the trail and did this small study of the view. I have never entered it in any shows or galleries for the matter until today! I used a palette knife and brush to paint this in about two hours. The rest of my day was getting to and from the scene which took most of the day. That my friends is why I love Plein Air over the studio.
