This is a plein air study done in the commercial boat harbor at Moss Landing about 30 minutes north of Monterey, CA. I have painted here numerous times and enjoy seeking out some of the unique fishing boats moored to the docks. Every once in awhile the boat leaves while I'm in the middle of the painting but this day it stayed in place long enough for me to paint it with a palette knife!
