This is a plein air painting of the Stanley Hotel completed during the Estes Park, Colorado Plein Air Competition and Show a number of years ago. I normally paint these in several hours but could not finish it due fog rolling in! This one took two days because the fog rolled in on the first day after a little more than an hour of painting. The weather stayed foggy and overcast for several more days then finally cleared up so I could finish it!
