Two for the Road is an original oil painting based on an original photo that I took during the summer of 2022. It depicts two western saddles in the quiet space of a barn where I was boarding my beloved Arab gelding, Woody. Often times, I would use an available wall near the cross ties as an ad-hoc saddle stand before and after a ride. The anticipation of the ride - and the wonderful feeling afterwards - is the inspiration behind this piece and what I remember when viewing in this painting.
