Terminal station
The 19th century gave the world steel giants whose hearts were steam engines. For more than a century and a half, steam locomotives were not just a mode of transport, but were the basis of industry, served people faithfully, and boosted the economies of states. Having been irreplaceable in the past, the technology of steam engines is now forgotten and mighty steel giants live out their days on driveways and in museums. But they left such a clear mark on history that their images are still reflected in the fantastic art style depicting an alternative development of humanity called steampunk.
