Oil and gold leaf on panel. This painting shows my friend, the artist Ramsha Khan, in a renaissance-inspired pose against a background of 23.75 karat gold leaf. It was painted using my version of the seven steps of Dutch 15th century painting—a fitting method, I thought, to such a composition.
