Hiding in the Trees
Painted in plein air using gouache. Painted on the grounds of Philbrook Museum of Art in Tulsa, OK. I took a class last fall at the museum. It was my first time to paint outside and I fell in love with the process. I have been working in plein air since. It is a perfect blend for me as I love nature and painting. Not new to painting, but new to plein air and gouache. The cabin in Hiding in the Trees is an art installation behind Philbrook called "Slumgullion". I was taken with how small the old cabin was in comparison to the mighty trees.
