Painted en plein air with pen, ink and watercolour, on a skiff on the Situk River near Yakutat, Alaska, in April with three feet of snow surrounding us! I was painting while my husband cast over me for steelhead. To cut this one off the block, had to ask the guide for his fish knife...blood and all!
