This is a studio painting based on an end-of-the-day hike back to my car after a day of plein air painting at Loblolly Point on Cape Ann. After I had packed up my painting gear, I turned to head back and saw the beautiful late afternoon light skimming across the seaside grasses, diffused by the misty atmosphere.
