Storm Surge Morro Bay

Painting in Morro bay this January. The storm surge swells were fun to watch, and try to paint in between curtains of rain slapping us. I observed them closely for about an hour, from inside the car before it stopped raining. Then I promptly went out to a rock on the edge of the beach and began to paint furiously in my little pochade box. I’m very happy with the result, I feel like I’m immediately taken back to the wind and push and pull of the water.
