Cathedral Drive
This plein air piece was painted over two golden, late afternoon sessions. It is an iconic view on Whidbey Island that is something special. This winding narrow road, lined with windblown coastal pines, makes its way along the bluff to pour out onto the beach below. My husband had to drop me off in this spot because there is no parking along this hillside road, but it was worth being abandoned there for a while each day...only the birds and wind and an occasional car passing by.
