Suijin

Suijin, Plein Air Acrylic
Suijin
Suijin was originally part of a 3 canvas piece in which only Suijin stood out. The center part was first accompanied by a plain black background. I see the center part in the yellow as a little creature with a red eye swimming through water and spreading color with each stroke. Suijin is named after the Japanese Shinto god of water. I felt the best compliment to her flow was with simple, straight lines to showcase that you can change your surroundings into whatever you wish them to be. She swims through the lines and creates collisions of beauty with each stroke.
