Washington Oaks Beach, south of St Augustine Fl, has the most amazing coquina rocks that line its shores. This painting shows the surge of water from an incoming set of waves spilling over the rocks. The sun is rising softly, and the whole foreground is still without direct sunlight. It’s an attempt to show the movement and power of water over land.
