Last October I took an inspiring day trip to the mountains with a dear friend, who modeled for this painting. When I get to fill a whole day, or a whole canvas, with beautiful things, I feel JOY. I love being an artist. There were lots of design decision that had to be made throughout the process of this piece. For example, the large tree on the left was added at the very end.
